Matt Beard is a highly respected football manager with over 350 games in charge and a UEFA Pro Licence. Known for his leadership in women’s football, he has managed top clubs in both England and the U.S., including Chelsea, West Ham, Boston Breakers, and most notably, Liverpool FC Women.
During his first spell at Liverpool (2012–2015), he led the team to back-to-back Women’s Super League titles. After a successful stint abroad and a strong FA Cup run with West Ham, Beard returned to Liverpool in 2021, guiding the team to FA Women’s Championship victory and promotion, followed by their best WSL finish since 2017.
His accolades include multiple Manager of the Season awards, reflecting his tactical understanding, leadership, and commitment to the growth of the women’s game.
